Weekend Wanderer

4 Hours in Madrid

One day, long long ago, I started the adventure of my life in sun-soaked spain. Now, as I stare out the window at the bleak, extended winter we are experiencing, I wish for those days more than ever! Here are the highlights from my very first European experience: a four-hour layover in Madrid, Spain!

My friend Leslie and I squint through the sun and jetlag. Look! I’m slightly tan!

Beautiful Bell tower – this remains one of my favorite pictures from Madrid

First of many “door” shots – I’m a little obsessed with doors! Also, Jetlag does NOT look well on me.

Allow me to introduce my best friend, Susie! She’s awesome, and she’ll show up in almost all of my pictures!

See? Told you she’d be around 🙂

This park was gorgeous, but I was too tired to keep taking pics – and my back was sweating due to my HUGE carry-on…
